Fortnite DOWN – How long is Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite offline for update 28.30 | Gaming | Entertainment

Fortnite developer Epic Games is taking everything offline for server maintenance as part of the launch of update 28.30. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC, update 28.30 will be available to download on the morning of February 22. It will be accompanied by a period of server downtime, which means you won’t be able to play Fortnite (not to mention LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival) for at least a couple of hours. If you want to know when you can log back into Fortnite, check out the 28.30 server downtime schedule below.

The news was announced by Epic Games on X (formerly Twitter), alongside details on when servers will be taken offline for maintenance.

“Downtime for v28.30 begins at 4 am ET with matchmaking disabled shortly beforehand,” reads an Epic tweet.

For UK fans, this means that Fortnite will be taken offline in full at 9am GMT, while matchmaking will be disabled at 8.30am.

Epic hasn’t revealed exactly when downtime will come to an end, but maintenance typically lasts for around a couple of hours.

This means Fortnite, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival should all be back online by 11am GMT UK time at the latest.

As part of the new update, Epic Games will announce a crossover with musical icon Lady Gaga.

It’s all part of Season 2 of Fortnite Festival, which runs from February 22 until April 22.

The Festival Pass comes with new instruments, Lady Gaga outfits, song tracks and lots more.

LEGO Fortnite, on the other hand, will add fishing to the game, complete with new items like the fishing rod and Bait Bucket.

Elsewhere, players can craft a Spyglass and Compass, the latter of which points you in the direction you need to travel.

Finally, expect new Villagers, charms and LEGO Styles for more of your favourite skins.
