Surprise Nintendo Direct TODAY – Watch new Zelda Tears of the Kingdom gameplay live | Gaming | Entertainment

Nintendo has confirmed plans to hold a Direct presentation later this week, this time focusing on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The third Nintendo Direct conference of the year so far, the new presentation takes place at 3m BST UK time on March 28. The March 28 Nintendo Direct will be hosted by Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma, and will feature roughly ten minutes of brand new Tears of the Kingdom gameplay.

The news was announced by Nintendo on Twitter, alongside confirmation that the Direct will be available to watch on Twitter.

“Join The Legend of Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, for roughly 10 minutes of gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom on 28/03 at 3pm (UK time) on our YouTube channel,” Nintendo tweets.

Express Online will add the new Legend of Zelda Direct presentation to this article once it takes place, so check back at 3pm BST on March 28 to watch in full.

With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launching on May 12, there’s a good chance this will be the final preview ahead of the game’s release.

Hopefully the Nintendo Direct will spotlight some of Link’s new abilities, which have been briefly hinted at in previous trailers.

The hero of Hyrule will seemingly be able to move through solid ground, something which is likely to be used to solve puzzles.

With the new game taking place on land and in the sky, there’s a good chance Nintendo will show off some new locations.

Link can explore Hyrule using a variety of new vehicles, including something resembling a drone.

Link also appears to be sporting a new glove imbued with powerful abilities.

The game launches alongside a Tears of the Kingdom amiibo, which can be used to gain weapons, materials and fabric for Link’s glider.

Some lucky fans will also be able to purchase the special Collector’s Edition, which comes with an artbook, steelbook case, a steel poster and a pin set containing four pins.
